ABOUT THE BAND

The David Koster Band is a high energy Psychedelic Jamtronica Rock Group formed in 2018 from Philadelphia. The group is formed around accomplished multi-instrumentalist David Koster who writes the music for the band. Being an an avid artist, David has many different inspirations spanning angelic astral-like choirs, dark groovy funk, bright and happy jubilee’s and so much more. The group meshes both modern and retro soundscapes while adding hints of reggae, funk, bluegrass, jazz, and more. With sets that feature primarily original music as well as covers from all different eras that everyone is sure to love, DKB never fails to create a vibrant atmosphere for all to enjoy!

Alongside David are:

Adam Baker - With eclectic roots, Baker holds down the low end with a vast vocabulary of musical knowledge on bass, while also being accomplished on Guitar, Vocals, and other instruments. Baker also performs with Mums the Word and Polyjamorous. Having been a member since when the band was called “The David Koster Band”, Baker is a founding member of the group alongside David.

Martin Focazio - From Pushing Tiger Lillies, C4 Dolphin, and Reflex hails Martin Focazio… a multi-instrumentalist that plays Drums, Guitar, Bass, and more… Martin also handles the audio and visual end of our videos.

Reed Fela - A saxophonist with roots in funk and jazz music, Reed provides bluesy backgrounds to songs while also playing over jam and solo sections. Reed also plays with Red Meat Conspiracy, and various other projects.

Connor Hunt - Connor is an avid songwriter, performer, session player, and multi-instrumentalist. Having toured the country and recorded on multiple albums, his inspiration is rooted in rock and blues but also incorporates elements of bebop/fusion melodies and Latin/African rhythms in his guitar playing. He also plays with Creatures of Content and his personal band, Conn & Co.

Emily Rubino - A vocalist who found her passion for musc and performance through gospel choir roots, Emily sings alongside David and adds sweet harmonies to the tunes of Space Radio. Also accomplished on guitar and bass, Emily’s influence and style stem from classic rock, jazz and soul.
